Stop "brown"-nosing you pieces of shit !!!

This is fucking ridiculous !!! The dabba carriers (aka tiffin-carriers) from Bombay (its never been Mumbai for me !!) and Pune are actually pooling together some money for a wedding present for Charles and Camilla. Given that these guys earn less than $100 bucks a month... I have no idea what the motivation behind this act is ?? So the last time Charles was in India, he happened to meet with these folks... but it was a photo-op, you idiots !! And now they are considering sending the Prince of Wales a turban and Camilla a sari for their impending wedding. What's the deal with this Brit royalty fixation some folks in India have ? This baffles me, considering they colonized for 150 years ? Am I crazy??

Curry is not a thing, it is a state of being !!

Being a blog on all things brown… and Indian, I am very disappointed at the general lack of awareness on brown cooking !!! We do not eat curry all the time, only some of the time. And although it is the #1 food in the UK (hey, even their Army is eating it, which is ironic, given that they raped and pillaged us in the first f*^king place.. but more about that in another post).. Anyway, coming back to Indian cuisine, here’s a short primer on curry!!!

Yes, we do like curry. But no self-respecting brown person buys this shit called “curry powder”… There is not ONE single curry powder…and more importantly, curry does not necessarily contain curry powder. Curry powder is in fact a blend of spices, varying according to regional preferences or traditions. As a result, there are literally thousands of "curry powders", each of which was uniquely suited for the produce and tastes of the region it developed in.

Actually, the word curry is derived from the south Indian word curriel, which was used in the local language (Tamil) for a fish stew that had tamarind and curry leaves (which is where these leaves also get their name even in local languages). This was then picked up and transformed into the present "curry" by the British. The word "curry", in its English sense, has no direct translation into any to India's fifteen languages.

So do yourself a favor. Make your own curry!! (I should put this line on t-shirts). Check out this site for some great recipes.

How much could I auction part of my "bodyspace" for ??

Just came across this on the web !!

Ad-vantage: My body, your ad

This guy thinks that he can get about Rs. 100000 (about $2300) for his forehead. This begs the question, How much can I get for advertising on parts of my body !! But then again, the traffic to some parts of my body is not as good as I'd like it to be ;-))

Karma is a bitch !!

This just recently made the headlines... It is ironic that someone who said referred to to the lesbian daughter of Vice President Cheney as a "selfish hedonist" now has this to deal with ...
http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/articles/A20005-2005Feb12.html.

During his failed campaign last fall against Barack Obama, Keyes volunteered that "if my daughter were a lesbian, I'd look at her and say, 'That is a relationship that is based on selfish hedonism.' I would also tell my daughter that it's a sin and she needs to pray to the Lord God to help her deal with that sin."

Keyes is yet to comment !!!
